Cycling is gaining ground in NYC

New York is known for its high traffic with cabs, subway tracks, trucks and commuters. The city is promoting cycling for a "cleaner environment and healthier populace." There is limited street space which is challenging. So the city is installing 400-500 bike racks a year and they plan for more than 400 miles of bike lanes and paths to be finished by 2009. I found an article on this at http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071007/ap_on_re_us/urban_biking;_ylt=AihTtWBJRbHWLSYd..GB6jCs0NUE
This would probably be an interesting article for whoever did project one trying to convince more people to bike rather than drive.
